RE-ANIMATION PERFORMATIVE FILM FESTIVAL, XX1 GALLERY, WARSAW, POLAND

RE-ANIMATION / PERFORMATIVE FILM FESTIVAL, XX1 Gallery, Warsaw, curator Ryszard Ługowski

Re-animations is a series of short film forms.
The films are available on Vimeo profile of XX1 Gallery.
During the closure of cultural institutions and a gradual return to normality, to constant creative activity, we proposed a festival of film miniatures, documentaries of process activities, made to camera. The online event concerned the presentation of moving images, events, situations lasting and developing in time. The area of activities was vast, among short 1-2 minute records there were performative actions, records of installations or moving objects, all animations, verbal statements and others…
Re-animations were published on the Gallery’s Facebook, as an event with the possibility of continuous enrichment of its resources, i.e. videos from invited artists from the XX1 Gallery circle.
The works submitted relate to actions, speeches, realisations, animations from 2020 or are specially made for the festival.
